Almoradí

Gestalihome sells apartments and villas in Almoradí, a municipality in the Valencian Community, Spain. Located in the south of the province of Alicante, in the Vega Baja del Segura region. Known mainly for its trade and furniture production, for the products of its garden and for the services it offers. By geographical location, Almoradí is referred to as the "heart of the Vega Baja", its central position in the Segura orchard has allowed it to perform a notable tertiary function since ancient times, being currently more than 50% of the employees of Almoradí who work in the service sector, one of the most important avenues of promotion in the municipality. In fact, Almoradí is one of the most important hotel sectors in Vega Baja, only behind the coastal towns.

There are currently three industrial estates in Almoradí: Eralta on the Dolores road, Las Maromas on the Algorfa road and La Fábrica on Rojales road. The main sectors in 2008 were furniture, textiles, food, machinery and plastic processing. Agriculture, although with a reduced importance, continues to mark the landscape of the municipality. 2800 hectares of irrigated land are cultivated, in which citrus production stands out: 984 hectares of lemon trees, 971 hectares of orange trees and 271 hectares of mandarins.

Almoradian gastronomy has a wide range of possibilities. Made with the best products from the garden and the sea, it presents a very high quality and variety. Prepared by ancestral recipes, this legacy being one of the greatest treasures of the population. Numerous dishes made with its star product, the artichoke, allow you to taste this product in a thousand ways, which one is more delicious. Almoradí has always been known by restaurants such as "El Cruce", with its specialty of "drunk kettle stew", but little by little the municipality has been giving relevance to other aspects of its gastronomy, such as the different ways of cooking artichoke, a plant that is known to have multiple health benefits.

Almoradí currently has two associations in the sector: the Restaurant Association and the Hospitality Association. Both participate and organize numerous events throughout the year, such as Gastronomic Days, participation in local fairs, Tapa Days or the most important event that takes place in Almoradí as far as gastronomy is concerned: the National Congress of the Artichoke of the Vega Baja del Segura.
