Spain is Back! Gradual resumption of flights to Valencia
6 May 2021

The airlines operating at Manises, Valencia airport, are offering 4,000 more seats for the first week of May than what had been planned two weeks ago: this means that the tourist activity resumes timidly, but surely with the easing of health measures and the expected return of national and international mobility. As a result, Spain’s third-largest city has more than fifty connections, most to international destinations.

Forecasts that give hope

The big player in the impending acceleration of Manises airport is Ryanair. The Irish low-cost company is the one that operates the most since its arrival in Valence and according to its summer program, it reactivates 13 lines at a time: Paris, Berlin, Lisbon, Frankfurt, Cologne and Malta, Budapest, Dublin, Marseille , Bristol, Brussels, London, Milan, Pisa, Warsaw ...
Other airlines are also dusting off links with Manises: for example, Vueling plans to resume operations with Algiers, Brussels, London, Rome, Amsterdam and Lisbon, Eurowings with Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart and Volotea with Nantes. Likewise, nine other domestic routes will be resumed. Finally, Manises will have a new line in July which will connect Valencia to Riga, the capital of Latvia in a direct route operated by the company Air Baltic. Cherry on the cake Aeroflot once again offers a direct flight from Valencia to Moscú once a week, on Sundays.

The decisions currently taken by the airlines on their short and medium term activity reflect the evolution of the pandemic linked mainly to the progress of vaccination campaigns in European countries.
