El Vergel

Gestalihome sells homes in El Vergel, it is located in the northeast of the province of Alicante, very close to the coast of Denia. Its small municipal area, of 8.16 km², occupies part of the Girona river delta that forms an extensive irrigated area specialized in citrus fruits.

This town is accessed by road, from Alicante through the N-332 or by the Mediterranean highway, at its exit from Ondara.
Iglesia Parroquial de la Virgen del Rosario, neoclassical in style, was completed in 1732 to replace the old church, which became small at the end of the 18th century due to the increase in population, and which was located on the current Príncipe de Asturias street.

Its bell tower is one of the most characteristic and endearing buildings of the town, restored in 1997 by the citizens themselves. The Campanario Clock is responsible for marking the hours, with the characteristic sound of its unique bell, called "hours".

Inside, the town's Patron Saint, the Virgen del Rosario, is worshiped by the Valencian image maker Pío Mollar Franch, who presides over the Magnificent Main Altarpiece (1941); crowned at the top by a large canvas of San Cristóbal, recalling the first historical patron of the town, the canvas is the work of Antonio Pastor. There are 6 side chapels with their altarpieces, dedicated to the Virgen de los Dolores, San Luís, San Roque, San José, La Inmaculada Concepción and the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús.
The parish preserves the first copy of the Holy Chalice of the Supper, which is preserved in the Cathedral of Valencia, which was donated to the parish by the magistrate of the town Leopoldo Catro Boy
The Tower of the Palace of the Duke of Medinaceli is located in front of the Church of the Virgen del Rosario and they are the only remains of the Palace or Manor House of the Medinaceli. Today it houses various temporary exhibitions.

The late medieval tower of Blanc de Morell or Cremadella, of Arabic origin, was declared a Site of Cultural Interest. It is very easily visible both from the AP-7 motorway and from the variant of the national road, parallel to the motorway.

The old train station, where the Local Police checkpoint is currently located, was formerly the railway station, where the train that came from Carcagente to Denia stopped. The one-story building was built around 1880 and housed the stationmaster's home.

The greenway from Vergel to Denia that can be done on foot or by bike, with a length of 6.5 km.

Casa del Trapig archaeological remains correspond to a 16th century sugar mill known as "Trapig". The remains found in the area (numerous earthen vessels that stored the sugar cane juice and three impressive grinding wheels) indicate that it was one of the most important sugar cane processing factories. These stone grinders were used to extract the juice from the sugar cane and were moved by animals.

Its Patron Saint Festivities, in honor of San Roque and the Virgen del Rosario, patrons of the population. Among other events include the Entrance of the Murta, the Floats, the parades of Moors and Christians, the Offering of Flowers to the Patron, the popular "war of l'aigua", the procession to the Patron Saints with the participation of the Festeros and the Rows of Moors and Christians, which concludes with the Fireworks Castle and which gives way to the days of Encierros (Bous al Carrer).
