Rojales

Gestalihome sells homes in Rojales, 

located in the heart of the Vega Baja del Segura. In it we can explore its caves excavated in the mountain that date back to the s. XVIII, its windmill, or visit the Parish church and the Municipal Archaeological and Paleontological Museum.

Rojales has a varied gastronomy, so we can taste dishes such as cooked with balls, rice with rabbit or Almojábenas.

What to see in Rojales:

The Rodeo caves are a traditional complex of houses dug out of the rock between the 18th and 20th centuries and used as cave-workshops for artisans and artists. In the Underground Artistic Souk "Cuevas del Rodeo" you can visit places of great natural and artistic cultural value. With an extensive ecomuseum of the Underground Habitat, with urban parks in its surroundings and an artisan souk in the caves of the Barrio del Rodeo.

The Capitol Theater, which was built in 1946. Activity that has been carried out since 1977 is the National Contest of Nanas and Christmas Carols in the first half of December.

The Cabezo Soler, is a round mountain located in the direction of Guardamar del Segura, popularly known for being the enclave of the famous Legend of Enchantment.

Rojales Culture Center, which houses the music schools of the La Lira Music Band, the Santa Cecilia Music Band and the Demófilo Pastor Easter Museum.

The Windmill is one of the most interesting constructions of the pre-industrial architecture of Rojales. It is located on one of the raised hills of Parque Ladrillar to take better advantage of the force of the wind.

The Archaeological-Paleontological Museum of Rojales, created in 1981, aims to preserve and understand the cultural heritage of the area.

The exhibition space is divided into two large areas. The paleontology area shows the paleogeographic evolution through the testimonies of beings that lived in the area millions of years ago and the archeology area aims to facilitate the understanding of the cultural evolution of the settlement that was established in the surroundings of Rojales since prehistory until the foundation of Rojales.

The church of San Pedro Apóstol was built in the first half of the 18th century built in masonry. Noteworthy inside is the great dome, the work of Fray Antón Villanueva, and its careful religious imagery. Later, the chapel of the Virgen del Rosario was added to the main nave. In the 90s of the 20th century, the painting of the Church was restored in an integral way.
