Casares

Gestalihome sells homes in Casares, a municipality in the province of Malaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, in southern Spain. It is located on the border with the province of Cádiz, in the region of the Western Costa del Sol. Casares is the prototype of the Andalusian white town: narrow, steep and winding streets and whitewashed houses. In addition, it is the birthplace of Blas Infante, considered the Father of the Andalusian Homeland

Findings of cave culture have been found in the Cueva del Gran Duque. The origin of Casares dates back to the times of the Iberians and Phoenicians. In the year 61 a. C., Julio César, from whom the name of the city is derived, used the famous Hedionda baths, to cure the liver disease he suffered with their sulfurous waters. The healing properties of it became famous throughout Rome.

Casares is a tourist town on the Costa del Sol. It has the Finca Cortesín Resort, with a five-star hotel. Linked to residential tourism there is an important construction activity in Casares Costa.

The town has peculiar whitewashed facades and narrow, intricate and steep streets. Of interest are the Birthplace of Blas Infante, the Church of the Incarnation, the Hermitage of San Sebastián, the Torre de La Sal, the Baths of La Hedionda and the flour mills.

The Ancha Beach of Casares Costa has been awarded with the blue flag in 2020
